The Granite Falls Historical Society held their annual Meeting on Sundayt, March 25th at the Volstead House Museum. Board Members were elected and Granite Falls Riverfront Revitilization was presented with the Narvestad Historical Preservation Award for their work in attaining and reimagining the Berge Building in downtown Granite Falls.

Tribute to the Granite Falls Firefighters both past and present was be held for our Western Fest open house. It was a wonderful time for firefighters to get together and share stories.

The Granite Falls Historical Society held their Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 3rd at the Volstead House Museum. Board Members were elected and the Yellow Medicine County Veteran's Affairs Office was presented with the Narvestad Histoical Preservation Award for their work in producing the Veteran's Memorial that stands in front of the Yellow Medicine County Courthouse.

Granite Falls Historical Society Board President Barb Benson and board member Sue Van Hoof hosted the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts at the historic Andrew J. Volstead House Museum. Troop 291 learned about how to conduct themselves while visiting an historic site and they also heard about some of Granite Falls History.
